These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of brefly (the "Service"), available at brefly.com. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

brefly is an online tool that produces short summaries ("briefs") of text, web pages and documents you provide. Briefs are generated by automated AI models and are provided for convenience only. They may contain errors or omissions and are not a substitute for reading the original source.

2. Accounts and plans

The Service offers a free tier and paid plans ("Pro" and "Team"). Free use is limited to a set number of briefs per day. Paid plans remove or raise these limits and unlock additional features, as described on our Pricing page. Prices are shown at checkout.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) process content you do not have the right to use; (b) summarize unlawful, infringing, or harmful material; (c) attempt to overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service; or (d) resell the Service without permission. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the text and files you submit. Pasted text and uploaded documents are private and are not published. Summaries of publicly available web pages may be published as public library pages, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Payments

Paid plans are billed through our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, which handles payment, invoicing and applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; see our Refund Policy.

6. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, brefly is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on a brief.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
