Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data brefly ("we") collects and how we use it. We keep it minimal.
1. Content you submit
- Pasted text and uploaded PDFs are processed to generate a brief and are never published. PDF text is extracted in your own browser and only the extracted text is sent for summarizing.
- Public web pages and videos you ask us to summarize may be turned into public library pages (for example, "[article] summary"). Only publicly accessible sources are ever published.
2. AI processing
To generate a brief, the submitted text is sent to third-party AI providers (such as Cloudflare Workers AI, Cerebras and Groq) solely to produce the summary. We do not use your content to train models.
3. Account and payment data
If you subscribe, payment is handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the billing information needed to process your payment under its own privacy policy. We receive only the information required to activate and manage your subscription (such as your email and plan).
4. Usage data
We use a signed cookie to count your daily free briefs. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Waitlist and contact
If you join a waitlist or contact us, we store the email and message you provide in order to reply and to notify you about the Service.
6. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time via our Contact page.
7. Contact
